Luxe Eyebrowlift Tutorial

STEP 1: Clean your eyebrow area with a cleanser

Before you begin the treatment, we recommend to make sure the skin around your eyebrows is as clean and as oil-free as possible. Oily skin or make-up can prevent the lotions from working. Dirt or residue on the eyebrows and skin prevent the brow glue from sticking properly.

Make sure to remove all make-up or residue before the treatment by using our Luxe Cleanser (optional) or your daily face wash. We recommend using a baby shampoo as this has a PH of 5.5 or more, and it can open up hair flakes, making gluing much easier.

Note:

• Make sure your eyebrows are dry by patting them with a tissue.
• Starting with a clean canvas also allows the different lotions to work more efficiently.
• Work against the direction of hair growth to clean the skin under the eyebrows as well.

STEP 2: Fix your eyebrows into the desired shape

1. Apply Luxe Eyebrow Glue (Kleber) generously to the eyebrows.
2. Shape eyebrows to desired shape using a comb/brush (Augenbrauenbürste).
3. Make sure that all hairs lie flat, correct if necessary.

Note:

• For a natural result, do not fix the eyebrows too steeply towards the hairline. Correct the position of the hairs by reapplying Luxe Eyebrow Glue and combing again.

STEP 3: Apply Luxe Perming Lotion

1. Start applying perming lotion (Luxe Perm Lotion 1) from the top of the eyebrow so that the hairs that need to change direction more can process for longer. Cover the whole brow with a generous amount of perming lotion.
2. Spread the lotion from the inner corner to the outer corner and then brush the lotion from the outer corner to the inner corner, making sure that the roots of the hairs get covered. Repeat the movement upwards once and downwards once.
3. Remove lotion residue with a dry cotton pad without removing the glue from your eyebrows. If necessary, reapply glue to fix the brows into the desired shape.

Note:

• Avoid rubbing lotions onto the skin to avoid irritation and focus on covering the brow hairs from the root.

Processing time:
Fine hair: 8 min
Medium hair: 10 min
Thick hair: 12 min

You can check the processing times by lifting some of the hairs in the opposite direction. If they bounce back – it means that they are not ready yet. If they lack any resistance – then they are. Meaning they require less amount of processing time.

It is better to check the hairs in different locations of the brow as some areas can process faster (for example, the head of the brow generally has softer and lighter hairs thus they require less amount of processing time).

Good to know!

Curling lotion processing time depends on the coarseness of the hair and how much its direction needs to change. The coarser the hair/ the more the direction needs to change, the longer the processing time.

The lower part of eyebrow hairs naturally grows upwards and the top part downwards. The top part also has many little stubborn cross hairs that are the hardest to lift. All of this means that the top of the eyebrow takes the longest and most work to reshape.

STEP 4: Apply fixing lotion (+ cling film)

The fixing lotion gives your brows their new shape.

1. Apply fixing lotion to the whole eyebrow and then shape it however you would like the eyebrows to be with the Luxe brush.
2. Cover them with cling film and press down firmly.
3. Processing time is only 8 minutes for all hair types.

Note:

• The brushing must be done gently so as not to irritate the skin and avoid stretching the hairs after the Lifting lotion.
• If there are just a few stubborn hairs that won’t lay flat you can secure them with glue before the application of the fixing lotion. Alternatively, you can also use a bit of cotton net.

STEP 5: Tinting the eyebrows (optional and not included)

Your eyebrows are now fixed into perfect shape. To make every little perfectly shaped hair visible, only some color is missing now! Mix the color and apply it to the eyebrows generously. Make sure all of your eyebrows are covered. The processing time is only 3-4 minutes.

After the processing time is over, remove the color thoroughly with a damp cotton pad.

Note:
Before applying, cover the area around your eyebrows with vaseline to protect your skin.

1. Finally, apply the Nourish lotion (Pflege) to revitalize your eyebrows. Then comb your eyebrows thorougly.
2. Processing for 4 minutes for all hair types.
3. Clean eyebrows with damp cotton pads and remove the glue. Then comb out glue residue with an eyelash brush and comb eyebrows into shape and style. Done!

Note:

• Make sure there is no glue left.

Must do Luxe Eyebrowlift Aftercare

• Avoid contact of your eyebrows with water, steam, hot baths, saunas after the application for 24–48 hours.
• Avoid oils, shampoo and lotions for 24–48 hours.
• Avoid eyebrow make up for 24 hours.
• Avoid rubbing or pulling your eyebrows for 24 hours.
• Sleep on your back for 48 hours! Since your eyebrows are still shape-shifting, sleeping on your side or putting pressure on your eyebrows can leave them misshaped.

Recommended to do

• Use an oil-free makeup remover.
• Avoid aggressive products.
• To keep your eyebrows fluffy-looking and to prevent them from getting tangled, brush them daily. You can use an eyebrow brush (especially made for this purpose).

Users Notice

• Please note before use: Despite multiple tested ingredients and no intolerance confirmed so far by our customers, please test the product for skin compatibility before use (test small amount on the back of the hand). Keep the eye closed during application and remove contact lenses.
• Lifts may be repeated as often as you want, but we recommend to wait at least 2 weeks to avoid over-processing. This means that if you want to freshen up your lift after a week or two, it’s absolutely fine!
• Incorrect application may cause irritation to the eye (avoid eye contact). If eye contact occurs, please rinse with water for 3–5 minutes and seek medical attention if necessary.
